This useful spell bestows upon a corpse the power of speech. There is
ongoing debate as to whether the original essence of the being is somehow
bound to the corpse, or a passing shade is is wrenched from the nether
planes to reanimate its mouth and memories, but either way the effect is
similar: the deceased gains limited awareness of his surroundings and
can understand and answer questions.

If cast on a dead monster, the spell automatically compels it to tell the
caster of any hidden treasure it may have secreted in the area. If cast
on a player, then what the corpse says or does not say is up to it. In
the second case the deceased will only be able to chat for a short while
before his soul is called to continue its journey.
